With the first fuselage disassembled for its fittings, the Bristol team has drawn out a full-scale side view of the fuselage on top of a flat table. This drawing will be used to position the various fuselage components as each side is built up. The longerons and vertical pieces will be fitted directly on top of this drawing, once for each side.
Once the drawing is laid out on the table, the next step is to actually start placing the wood that will make up the fuselage sides. The lower longeron is placed along its proper lines, held by wood blocks affixed to the table. More wood strips are awaiting placement.
